3. Permitted and Prohibited Use

You may use the Site for lawful personal, educational, or professional purposes. You agree not to:

• Submit text containing personal data of third parties without their consent
• Use the service to make definitive determinations of AI authorship without independent verification
• Use detection results as sole evidence in academic disciplinary proceedings, employment decisions, or legal matters

4. No Warranty of Accuracy

AI content detection is a probabilistic process. Detection scores represent statistical likelihood, not definitive proof of authorship. We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any detection result.

Known limitations of AI detection technology include:

• False positive rates of 12–17% on human-written text — legitimate human writing may be flagged as AI-generated
• Reduced accuracy on edited or humanized AI text compared to raw AI output
• Elevated false positive rates on non-native English (ESL) writing
• Lower reliability on texts under 50 words
• Varying performance across different AI models and writing styles

Detection results should always be treated as one signal among several, not as a standalone verdict. Human judgment and additional context are required for any meaningful decision based on these results.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, saplingaidetector.com and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• False positive or false negative detection outcomes
• Decisions made by educators, employers, or institutions based on detection scores

When you click “Get Full Detailed Report,” you are directed to a third-party report provider. That provider’s own terms of service and privacy policy apply from that point. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or accuracy of third-party services.
